أعلنت رئيسة مجلس النواب الأمريكي، نانسي بيلوسي من مقر البرلمان التايواني اليوم الأربعاء، أننا جئنا إلى تايوان من أجل إحلال وتعزيز الأمن في المنطقة.

وقالت بيلوسي في كلمتها أمام البرلمان التايواني إن هناك فرصة جيدة للتعاون بين البلدين في مجال صناعة الرقائق، مشيرة إلى أن تايوان دولة من أكثر شعوب العالم تمتعًا بالحرية.

والتقت رئيسة مجلس النواب الأمريكى مع نائب رئيس مجلس النواب التايواني بمقر البرلمان في العاصمة تايبيه.

وتعتبر الصين تايوان مقاطعة انفصالية تعهدت باستعادتها بالقوة إذا لزم الأمر، لكن قادة تايوان يقولون إنه من الواضح أنها أكثر من مجرد مقاطعة، مشددين على أنها دولة ذات سيادة.
